Transformative wellness experience
According to www.travelweekly.com and the Global Wellness Summit's annual Global Wellness Trends Report 2018, 'the new "it" trend is "transformative."
It involves "experiences that wrap people up in a dramatic story or sense of theater, that can incite that elusive perspective-changing interior journey."
In this article Jeri Clausing illustrates this new trend with the Six Senses new program that will take guests to five resorts across different parts of the country, each of which is based on one of the Bhutanist happiness principles that are focused on things like culture, community and physical and mental well-being. "We know people want far more immersive journeys and experiences, particularly wellness travelers: those transformative epiphanies that come from stepping into a story larger than themselves" explained Anna Bjurstam, vice president of spas and wellness at Six Senses.
